Iris X Reading of the Week/Week beginning on 8/4/2025: 

Hello to the friends of Iris X Readings! Where I live in Vermont is bursting with life right now. We are living in the center of an apothecary created by nature- which inspired me to work with The Herbcrafter's Tarot today! We have Mullein all over our property this year that I will be crafting Hag Tapers from this Autumn; and then- there are endless smoke wand bundles to create, infusions to start and finish, incense ingredients to gather. It is a truly magical time of the year. Nature is so generous- make sure your relationship with the Earth is reciprocal. Start by getting to know the world around you. I shuffled the cards and asked for a reading for someone who will see this post. Read on- see if it's for you! It's a good one! 

The reading begins with the Ace of Fire- Mullein in this deck! If this is your reading, you have an opportunity. It is likely coming in the form of a flash of insight, an idea, or something that has recently inspired you. It is an idea that could change everything. It would not be simple; you will have to keep the fire going steady and well! But if you do, you are going to be successful. If you have an idea that you have been pondering and it is something that makes you excited- this may be your reading. Mullein pops up- seemingly out of nowhere; and when you harvest it, you can make wishes on it! 

The next card is The Ace of Earth/Nettle- another opportunity! You really have a plan that is going to fly! But, not just that- it will root itself into the earth. When moving forward to make big changes in your life, it is important to know if it is going to go practically well. The Ace of Earth tells you that your idea is not just a good one; it is profitable. And that matters. It will take a lot of work and will keep you quite busy, but it will be successful. 

Next is the Six of Water/Borage. It's time for you to cross the bridge. It looks like you have been sitting on one side of the bridge, nervous to cross it. And that you are going to be really happy once you do. Take what you need with you from your past and leave the rest behind. This is a rite of passage for you- it is time for you to follow your dreams. All you can do is to take the opportunities as they present themselves and run with them. Don't forget to pause before you cross the bridge. Light a candle- everything is changing. Then- cross the bridge. 

The key to this reading is the Eight of Fire/Ginger. You are going to have a lot of opportunities related to your plan that come down to you. If you reach out to the community; you will hear back. You will have various people that come through which will turn your fire dreams into a grounded reality. Pay attention to the people around you. You may even have opportunities from your past that you forgot about that will weave into your new ideas. In Magic, Ginger is often used to add some spice and success. It is like adding a fire to the situation. You will be busy. 

Here's what I see. You have an idea that you have to move forward with. You have been thinking about it for a while, and have been worried that while it is a good idea it will not be successful.

This reading is saying that it Will be successful and it will also be profitable. You have been staying on the bridge, worried about crossing it and moving on into your future. But it is time to take a step forward and to stop pondering the details. You will get nowhere unless you take the first step. You have thought about it long enough, it is time for action. And once you Do take a step, you will find that opportunities to grow what you are doing are going to shower onto you. You will have people interested in what you are doing and reaching out to you. Have a bit of faith in yourself- there are Two Aces in this reading, and all signs are pointing to positive. And you have waited long enough. Other people will be excited about your new path too. 

I can't help but see the Herbs in the cards as a spell of sorts... Surround yourself with Borage and drink a tea of Nettle and Ginger as you make a wish on a Mullein stalk/Hag taper. May all of your dreams manifest so well that you wonder why you hadn't taken a step forward before.
